What a weird, wooley and wild show I've got lined up for you on this week's World Music Show (4/4). Maybe it's the fact that we just passed one of my favorite non-holidays, April Fools Day. Or perhaps, the reasoning behind this week's line up is that perhaps Spring is finally showing it's springy head. In any event, the tunes, genres, cultures and styles are quite unique.
By that headline alone, you can probably tell that we've got a lot of musical ground to cover on this week's World Music Show (3/28). And, truth be told, that statement is pretty accurate. In fact, it's going to be a Sounds-stra-ganza!
Talk about some lost and found sound! On this week's World Music Show (2/28), we'll hear some recent--not even released yet--music as well as some found or rather discovered prison music from the city of Zomba and we'll take some Asian and African travels to unearth some global dance music. And that's just the tip of the musical iceburg, if there was such a thing.
We all love new things, right? From that new car smell to how new clothes feel to discovering a new restaurant, we all get a tad giddy when new things cross our path. So, imagine my joy for this week's World Music Show (6/21/14), because I'll get the chance to play a bevy of new music for you (but perhaps I should rename this week's episode "The Sound of Newness?").
