WCVE News Introduces Strong Lineup of STEM Programming on Newly Formatted 88.9 FM

On June 1, 2018, WCVE Radio launched two separate radio stations that now allow them to offer all news content, all day long, at 88.9 FM on the dial. (All music is now offered by WCVE at 93.1 and 107.3 on the dial for music lovers.) As a result, the STEM programming offerings have expanded, to the delight of science enthusiasts. WCVE News/88.9 FM will offer STEM favorites, including Freakonomics Radio and BBC’s Crowd Science. A printable listing of the full WCVE News schedule can be found HERE.

CROWD SCIENCE  | Sundays at 3:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. |  We take your questions about life, Earth and the universe to researchers, hunting for answers at the frontiers of knowledge.

WORLD HACKS  | Sundays at 7:00 a.m. |  An innovative weekly program that looks at how we can solve the world's problems.

HIDDEN BRAIN  | Sundays at 2:00 p.m. |  Shankar Vedantam uses science and storytelling to reveal the unconscious patterns that drive human behavior, shape our choices and direct our relationships. (1)

FREAKONOMICS RADIO  | Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.Borne from the best-selling, award-winning book of the same name, Freakonomics studies the riddles of everyday life—from cheating and crime to sports and child-rearing—and whose conclusions turn the conventional wisdom on its head.

PLANET MONEY  | Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. |  The economy explained. Imagine you could call up a friend and say, "Meet me at the bar and tell me what's going on with the economy." Now imagine that's actually a fun evening. (1)
