Tune in for the eleventh season of Charlottesville Inside-Out (CVIO) as we continue to highlight the people and places that make Charlottesville such a unique area to live in and to explore.
This season, we’ll meet a C’ville chef who is known for his award-winning fried chicken, visit an entrepreneur whose innovative designs are helping to restore oyster reefs across the country, and catch up with a filmmaker who focuses on sharing forgotten and unknown stories about local African Americans.
Season 11 Premieres Thursday, January 18th at 8:30 p.m. on WHTJ PBS / WCVE PBS: Grab the Broadcast Schedule here
Join us as we go behind the scenes with an area improv group, hear from a distinguished choral conductor, and peek at the planets at a popular observatory. We’ll also learn about a local rowing club, explore the rising popularity of the sport of youth mountain biking, and study the art of falconry.
We’ll continue to shine a light on the work of our community nonprofits as we talk to a Vietnam veteran about the “hill that heals” and a WWII veteran about his participation in a project that records and preserves invaluable and increasingly rare military service stories from his generation for future generations.
And stay tuned to hear more about a very special segment of CVIO filmed in front of a live audience featuring Charlottesville resident and former Poet Laureate, Rita Dove.
To explore these topics and many more, tune into CVIO on Thursday nights at 8:30 p.m. and Sundays at 12:30 p.m on WHTJ PBS / WCVE PBS. And be sure to follow our CVIO Facebook page for updates.
