On Saturday, September 26th, the Community Idea Stations hosted an exclusive screening of the 90-minute special of Ken Burn’s new film, “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea”, from New York City’s Central Park. The special concert event featured musical performances, clips from the National Park Series and remarks by Ken Burns and others. Approximately 90 people attended, and 34 signed up to volunteer!

After the concert we held a Volunteer Fair for attendees to learn more about volunteer opportunities here at the Community Idea Stations. There are many volunteer opportunities available such as Administrative/Clerical assistant, Front Desk Receptionist, Business Event Ambassador, Pledge Phone Operators, Children’s Activity Helpers, Hospitality Ambassadors, Tour Guides, and Costumed Character Talent or Character Handler.
