Want to have fun and make a difference? Volunteer! Volunteers are a big part of the Community Idea Stations and our efforts to contribute to our community. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year in a variety of areas - events, office work, reading to children, and representing us at community events. We keep this page updated with a list of the coming opportunities, so check us out and see if there is something that fits you. If you’d prefer, sign up here to be added to our Volunteer Opportunities mailing list. So volunteer and join the Community Idea Stations family - a family you’ll never want to leave!
Explore the Outdoors Event
Spring is a Great Time to Volunteer and Explore the Outdoors! The Community Idea Stations and Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation are co-hosting this special free event to give children and their families plenty of exciting outdoor experiences. Over forty local community groups with expertise in outdoor adventure, healthy living, and environmental science will offer activities ranging from nature walks to tree climbing, archery and fishing, paddle boarding (on dry land), gardening, camping, art making and much, much more.
We need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, including set up, clean up, information ambassadors, booth assistants, and a variety of other tasks. Last year’s event was a rousing success. Sign up now and be a part of the fun!
