Virginia Currents kicks off it's 22nd season with a behind the scenes look at the independent movie, “Coach of the Year.” Movie director and screen writer, David Stott returns to his roots to tell the true story of a Richmond rag-tag swim team that tries to make the state championship without a practice pool. Plus, meet Portsmouth native and resident artist, Ramel Jasir. Find out what inspires his colorful, reflective and abstract paintings.
