Come inside the Civil War Graffiti House - which once served as a field hospital near the Battle of Brandy Station. We catch a glimpse of drawings, autographs and doodles of the soldiers who stayed there. And the unique sounds of the historical Japanese koto instrument. Excellent "Virginia Currents" again! I particularly enjoyed the Comfort Zone information and that segment. I have two young friends, age 7 & 8, who are about to lose their mother to Leukemia, any time now, for the past year, she has been in Hospice Care. I would offer to send these two to Comfort Zone Camp!
On that story, I met so many inspiring and insightful campers, volunteers & employees. I thought the shoot would be very solemn and heavy but instead there was laughter, friendship & community. Even after times of sharing and recounting their stories, they were welcome with cheers for their courage and ability to talk about it. I'm so sorry about what your friends are going through. If they do turn to Comfort Zone Camp, they will find connection and understanding that really can help with their journey.
