Spotlight on Reading

The PBS KIDS Summer Reading Initiative is now in its fifth week. The tips for promoting literacy with young children have been stupendous! The ideas shared this past week include creative car trip games, crafty activities, grocery store and restaurant reading ideas, activities for your home base, and book club fun.

This week’s special children’s programming will feature SUPER WHY! “Royal Reading Week.” It will kick off on July 2 and include the following episodes:
“King Eddie Who Loved Spaghetti” - July 2
“Princess Gwennie Saves the Day” - July 3
“The Twelve Dancing Princesses” - July 4
“The Emperor's New Clothes” - July 5
“Cinderella: The Prince’s Side of the Story” - July 6
