Welcome to WCVE Education

The Community Idea Stations operate the largest instructional telecommunications services (ITS) network in Virginia. We provide educational services, support and resources for early childcare programs and 44 public school divisions (serving nearly 443 schools) in central Virginia.

Our Mission WCVE Education is committed to delivering high-quality training and resources to the educators, students and families of central Virginia. WCVE Education provides educational outreach and training for early childcare programs, K-12 technology and SOL training and conferences, curriculum-oriented instructional programs, and other resources to assist parents and teachers in preparing children to excel academically.

PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest (WCVE PBS)

The PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest encourages children in grades K – 3 in the WCVE PBS viewing area to explore the power of creativity by writing and illustrating their own stories. All entries must be received by March 12, 2010.

Ready...Set...Write!
The PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest is now underway! Kids in grades K-3 are encouraged to put on their thinking caps and put pen to paper. WCVE PBS and WHTJ PBS are looking for original works...written and illustrated by the entrant.
Come Celebrate with Clifford
In 2010, CLIFFORD will celebrate ten years on PBS. To commemorate this special occasion, PBS KIDS® and Scholastic Media have selected Monday, January 18, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, to begin their Be Big With Clifford: Ten Days, Ten Ways event.
