Plus, the show always showcases local (and American-style) World Music. The motto of The World Music Show is “Don’t Fear Music.” On Twitter @wcveworldmusic.

A Musical Travelogue

On this week’s World Music Show (10/1), we’ll create a travelogue of musical souvenirs, with highlights in alternative Portuguese tunes, as well as some Rock-n-Roll tracks out of Russia. Plus, we’ll hear a melding of African & Brazilian music, as well as some groovy Gypsy songs.

Time To Spread Your Wings

Get ready to spread your wings and some Big Noise on this week’s World Music Show (9/24). That’s right, we’ll check out some Funky Tropicalismo music which has a big band sound to it, plus we’ll get a Brazilian groove going with Bebel Gilberto and a few others. And if that weren’t enough for you, how about some world music covers of some of your favorite pop songs? Don’t be shy, come read what’s up for this week’s show.

Time To Crank It Up!

It’ll be an eclectic mix on this week’s World Music Show (9-17). From some Afro-Brazilian mixes and songs recorded as part of the Zomba Prison Project, to some Irish punk music about a summer in Siam as well as some Japanese groove pop, it’ll be like we turned the musical blender on Frappe’.
