World Music Show

The World Music Show with Ian Stewart
Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.
The World Music Show skips around the continents in search of modern (and classic) beats with the hopes of bringing the world closer together. Ian Stewart delves into styles such as Bossa Nova, Reggae, Afro-beat and Japanese pop, and explores regions or countries, such as Brazil, France and Asia to hear the sub-texts offered up from these areas. Plus, the show always showcases local (and American-style) World Music. The motto of The World Music Show is “Don’t Fear Music.” On Twitter @wcveworldmusic.

So, About This Week's Show...

So, about this week’s World Music Show...which by the way falls on this Saturday 11/22/14, will be jammed packed with a whole bunch of goodness. From Tropical Discotheque music, to desert blues music to classic French pop music by a racontour, this week's show will be filled with sounds that reach far beyond the typical. So, come with me now, as we examine, albeit briefly, on a tour a what to expect for this week.

In Your Face--But in a Good Way

If I were one to use all caps, in order to prove a point--as in trying to shout about this week's World Music Show (11/8), then the entire text would in essence be all caps and look like I was yelling. But, luckily for you, I don't need to scream or get in your face about this week's show. I don't even need to use exclamtion points. Because the music selected for the two hours, will simultaneously be in your face, while at the same time, not over power you to turn the chanel.
