If your organizations wishes to ask WCVE Public Radio to do on-air ticket giveaways to promote your event, please observe the following guidelines.
1) Due to the many requests for ticket giveaways, WCVE Public Radio must use its discretion in choosing the ticket giveaways most appropriate for our audience.
2) Requests for ticket giveaways must be received three weeks before the start date of the event to be considered. Information must be concise with relevant facts in a “one-sheet.”
3) In the event a production includes multiple dates, WCVE Public Radio reserves the right to choose one date if the organization does not specify one in advance.
4) WCVE Public Radio does ticket giveaways for non-profit arts and cultural events only; “for profit” organizations are not eligible. There are no exceptions. Documentation may be required if an organization is not familiar to us. We do not engage in giveaways for sporting events and/or gambling sites.
5) A maximum of 4 pairs of tickets will be offered on one day to our listeners. No less than 4 pairs will be given away. Winners names will be transmitted the next working day by telephone only. Names will not be sent by fax or email. A live contact person with a direct private number is required to receive winner information. Tickets given away on the air will be picked up by the winners at the “will call” window of the organization. We do not handle tickets on our premises. Personal data of winners other than already specified will not be shared.
6) Theater productions and/or events dealing with “adult” material may be subject to review by the station manager to see if they conform to our standards for on-air giveaways.
7) Unsolicited tickets sent to WCVE Public Radio will not be acknowledge or returned.
