Hi Michael,

Thank you for your comment. I try to strike a balance in my programming between new and older material. On average, I probably play a lot more classic jazz than some other jazz stations but new material is represented. I get feedback from people on both sides of this question, some people don't like the newer, more challenging music and others like yourself would rather hear more of it. I choose to program a range of styles from the entire history of the music and thats what factors in the decision to use a lot of classic material.

There are a few other local jazz programs, they you can find them listed at the Richmond Jazz Sciety's website, www.vajazz.org.

why do you have to play the old,mono old time jazz? you play great other stuff, then this comes on!..?....i am just about to pledge, but not sure i can support this stuff,
maybe if i was 79 years old, i might like it....
