Classical Music with Shawn Evans - Wed, 07/27/2011

After some odds and ends in the first two hours, we'll have composers who ran afoul of the law of their day (many for what we'd now consider silly reasons), spent time in jail, and/or were what we might now actually call criminal. I have listed the "crimes," and if you don't get to hear the stories from the broadcast, I encourage you to look up them up to get the record straight. Coming up on Thursday, more "criminals" (which is a fascinating study in how "law" changes), plus some composers who were priests and a female composer who became a saint.
