VCU Wilder School Education Poll for Higher Education

The L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at VCU has released its higher education poll. It looks at a variety of issues that impact both two and four year institutions.

Dr. Robyn McDougle, who directs the educational policy institute at the school, outlined highlights of the poll; 74% of respondents, the highest number in four years, believe college and university campuses are safe; 85% believed community colleges offer outstanding preparation for students going on to a 4 year degree or finding a job; over 70% believe 4 year institutions prepare students well for STEM careers and developing writing and communication skills.
