VCU Grant Will Support Small Primary Care Practices

Virginia Commonwealth University has received a 3 year $10 million grant to set up a statewide consortium to help small to medium sized primary care practices deliver better care.

Dr. Tony Kuzel chairs the Department of Family Medicine and Population Health at the VCU School of Medicine. The goal, he says, is better health, better care, and lower cost.

The project will complement community engaged strategies at VCU’s Center for Clinical and Translational Research, already focused on working alongside Virginia’s primary care practices.
