Virginia State inspection stickers on your windshield will be moved from the bottom center of your windshield to the bottom left corner as of January 1st.
It is because many auto manufacturers now offer crash avoidance technology that uses the center of the windshield, and Corinne Geller, Virginia State Police says it was time to move it. “Beginning January 1st, all 2019 stickers need to be placed in that lower left-hand corner. If you have the sticker in the middle right now, it’s fine, leave it there, and when you take your vehicle in next year to be inspected, then your new sticker will be placed in that lower left-hand corner, and the one in the middle will be removed.”
Other than that, there will be no other changes in the size or appearance of the existing inspection sticker.
