Police Urge Public to Be Alert and Report Suspicious Activity

Aware of the public information that helped police identify a bombing suspect in New York and New Jersey, law enforcement across the country is urging the public to stay alert and report concerns.

In Richmond, VCU Police Chief John Venuti said students can download a free app LiveSafe and send police pictures and video of things and activities that make them suspicious. “We don’t have to live in fear,” he said, “we do need to keep our eyes and ears open.”
