Obama To Campaign for Northam in Richmond

Former President Obama is set to return to the campaign train for the first time since he left office, with a rally in Richmond next week to help Democrat Ralph Northam in Virginia’s governor’s race.

The former President will be in Richmond next Thursday (10/19).

Northam’s Communication Director David Turner said, “I can tell you that the campaign and democrats across the commonwealth are real excited to see the president out on the campaign trail again.”

President Trump recently endorsed Republican Ed Gillespie in a tweet, but has not been directly involved in the campaign. Vice President Mike Pence is set to campaign with him Saturday.
