Micro Images on Display At VCU

There’s a new exhibit at the Tompkins-McCaw Library for Health Sciences at VCU. It features microscopic images. The exhibit, Through the Looking Glass, includes images of a black widow spider’s silk spinning organ, lung cells of a mouse, muscle fibers within the inner ear. One of three student winners was Ryan Clohessy, studying biomedical engineering. His image was the result of a failed experiment to build biomaterial scaffolding. The mircro image exhibit will be open through the end of the year.
