The Hanover County Board of Supervisors has approved a large residential and commercial development at one of the county’s busiest intersections. The board has voted to rezone 25 acres at Bell Creek and Pole Green roads from agriculture to multifamily residential and business where Hanover Land Investors LLC plans to build 48 single family homes, 73 townhouses and businesses.
Concerns expressed by neighbors earlier this year about density, traffic and the environment appeared to have been addressed and the developer has promised new plans for road improvements, buffers between units, stormwater management and walking trails.
The property is just off the 295 corridor where Pole Green and Bell Creek intersect. Construction could begin the beginning of next year.
