The YMCA of Greater Richmond is beginning the renovation and improvement of three of its older locations.
The Y’s Charlotte Dean explained that renovations are underway and the facilities will stay open while they’re going on. “The YMCA of Greater Richmond is investing $15 million in the renovation of the Northside and Petersburg YMCAs. Work on the Manchester Y will start at a later date.”
The work, she said, is part of a larger five year $40 million comprehensive campaign. “With this campaign we are expanding impactful programs building our endowment to further solidify our financial foundation and ensuring that our facilities provide opportunities for all children, youth, and adults throughout our community.”
The work in Petersburg and on Northside should be completed by December.
