The major-party candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Justin Fairfax and Republican Jill Vogel, met in Charlottesville Wednesday (8/9) to stake out positions on gun control, immigration, and other issues.
They agree on lessening the rules on cannabis, but on little else. Democrat Justin Fairfax said it himself. “There are two very stark choices in terms of visions.”
He would cap campaign contributions, consider a carbon tax, and expand Medicaid, and he said that his Republican opponent Jill Vogel’s rhetoric didn’t match her actions. “The attacks that he just levied against me on that bill are 100% false,” said Vogel.
Audience member Rick Sincere said, “I want to see more.”
