The Corsi Group is one of the country’s leading makers of cabinets. They’re investing $5 million dollars in a manufacturing plant in Charlotte County. Virginia and Kentucky competed for the project that’s expected to create 110 new jobs. Charlotte County has an unemployment rate of 7.2%. This will be the Corsi Group’s first venture on the East coast. With headquarters in Indianapolis, the group has been designing and manufacturing custom and semi custom cabinetry since 1973. Founder and CEO Pat Corsi said he is confident in the choice of Charlotte County with its quality labor force, business friendly governmental environment and supporting companies to work with. Corsi told the Mecklenburg Sun the company will be involved in the community to add value beyond the jobs they’ll create. The Governor’s office approved a $100,000 grant and the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Realization Commission chipped in $375,000. to help bring the Corsi Group to Charlotte County.
