Assembly 2014: Senate Dems Agree to Medicaid Audits in Exchange for Marketplace Virginia Passage

State Senate Democrats say they are willing to amend their Medicaid expansion alternative plan, to include four-year audits as proposed by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, something the House of Delegates previously supported, when separated from Medicaid expansion.  The Democrats say they’ve compromised repeatedly in their efforts to expand the health care safety net and that it’s time for House Republicans to join them at the negotiating table.  The House leadership says it's happy to see the Senate moving toward their position on audits, but maintain that no form of Medicaid expansion should occur this year.
