Rebroadcasting "In Memoriam: Page Wilson Oh, Didn't He Ramble" Wednesday Night at 7:00 PM

Whether performing with his group Reckless Abandon, running the stage or emceeing at one of the many concerts he worked at or hosting his long-running program Out o' the Blue Radio Revue here on WCVE Public Radio, Page Wilson had a huge impact on the Central Virginia Music Scene. Not surprisingly, there was a lot of coverage in the local press and on TV news about Page’s death, but by far the most eloquent tribute I have come across is the show produced by Steve Clark on Saturday’s the Sound of Swing. He titled the program “In Memoriam: Page Wilson: Oh Didn’t He Ramble.” Unfortunately, the station is not able to offer this program on-demand but rather than just tell you about it, we will rebroadcast that show Wednesday night (March 23) at 7:00 PM.
Listen to the broadcast promotion:
Page used to start many of his shows with the words "Welcome, welcome.....
Well, I just want to say "Thank you, thank you" to Steve Clark for his wonderful tribute to Page. I missed the first broadcast but caught tonight's, and it was great. Looking forward to this Saturday's program. Thanks again, Steve.
While the program was airing tonight I was reviewing the posts that had been made to our site from last week's sad news. You post leapt off the page:
"...shed no tears at life's passing...."
Not tonight, buddy, tonight's for cryin'. I am really going to miss you and the show. God speed, Page, the pain is over.
Thank you, John. You said more in those couple of lines than I could get out in an hour on the air.
All the best!
Page made my weekends special and lifted my spirit every time "Virginia" came on at the opening of his show. He will be missed.
Thank you for this tribute to Page Wilson. It's wonderful. Our regular weekend evening was wrapped around public radio, Prarie Home, and Page Wilson.
There is nothing nearly as good as what you do; radio is so important.
Thank you, and I'll get that subscription in ASAP.

@Sandy: thank-you for your comment. We are learning what a family Page had here at the station, and the comments and feedback mean a lot.
By the way -if you want more of the same, there will be a tribute program this Saturday evening at 8pm, with Reckless Abandon and Susan Greenbaum and hopefully other friends performing. Hope you can join us.
Will this program be available for purchase in the future?
Hi Jim: Here's a response from Steve on the question of whether the program can be purchased:
