In Space No One Can Hear You Scream

How is pop culture from the 70’s Alien Ated?  Don’t write....its not a typo in Krell.

45 Years: A Glimmer of Epic

The biggest curse of commercial radio isn't the commercials.  Its the enervating mediocrity of programming done by focus groups in other cities and slammed in your face day after day.  Month by month.  Year after year.

Before The Frost...Until The Freeze

It sounds too pompous and way too much of a cliche to state one particular Americana ensemble has taken up where The Band left off--on the other hand--if anyone deserve's to be in that category, The Black Crowes certainly do.  Critics in the past loved to slap  miselading labels on them.

An English Winter{plus}: Musicke Through the Ages

That particular spelling of music dates back at least to the early 1600's--and--symbolizes our exploration of the antiquarian marrying the modern this Saturday night.  From modern melodies to ancient... old Albion has given us a treasure of  songs and tunes that have survived centuries... sometimes in original but often modified forms that carry the same spirit of the past.

Its Beginning to Sound a Lot Like...

Autumn and Christmas are the two fave times of the year for special musical programming on the Croude.  Both pass all too fast for me....as quickly as leaves on trees are gone or the first snowflakes sometimes vanishing in our subtropical climate.

Put on Your Epic Face

This is the time of the year when I especially enjoy epic adventures...both sonic and cinematic.  That quickly brings us round to this Saturday night's show.   While epic usually denotes "length of time"--thats only one dimension.  The sublime talent of Rachel Bissex was cut way too short with breast cancer.  Yet I define her musical career clearly in the realm of epic when you hear her December Moon which opens the show.
