Wayne Farrar has been WCVE's local anchor of Morning Edition since 1997. He previously worked in radio in Staunton, Williamsburg and Roanoke, where he was a reporter-writer for WDBJ Radio-TV before coming to Richmond as news director and capitol reporter for WRNL. He became capitol correspondent for The Roanoke Times and weekend newscaster for WRVA, then worked in public information for state agencies before joining WCVE in 1996. He studied journalism at Washington and Lee University and is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and Public Radio News Directors Incorporated.
