A 29-year-old Petersburg man is facing a slew of charges as a result of an early morning accident yesterday that followed an attempt to run from state police.

It isn’t a topic that’s always easy to talk about but April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It grew out of women’s  “Take Back the Night” neighborhood marches in the late '70s.

Both Chesterfield and Hanover County Supervisors approved new budgets yesterday, and both held off raising real estate taxes for at least another year.  Charles Fishburne reports.

Parts of Route 288 in Chesterfield County were closed -- both directions -- for hours yesterday, and two lanes of Chippenham Parkway, just at afternoon rush hour becase cause of brush fires. As Charles Fishburne reports, it is a serious problem -- getting worse, due to rising temperatures.
