Hopewell will be home to a bio-energy plant
A bio-fuel plant is expected to start operation in Hopewell this spring. John Ogle has the story.
City officials expect Appomattox Bio Energy will start production late next month or early in April.
The opening was delayed several months after a series of explosions at the plant in September. Preproduction had to be shut down and the official launch had to be put off.
The plant, operated by Osage Bio Energy, will process barley into ethanol and several other products.
