Suspect arrested in Petersburg shooting case
An arrest has been made in the January 22nd murder of a Petersburg teenager.
19 year-old Marcellus Crittendon was gunned down outside of a birthday party on Custer Street around one in the morning.
Hyatt: Since that time, Petersburg police and other law enforcement officials have been looking for the suspect, developed pretty early on from witnesses and people calling in CrimeSolvers as well as detectives, and we determined the suspect to be Khalif Bland.
Petersburg Police Department’s Esther Hyatt explained that Bland was arrested yesterday by the US Marshal’s Tri-City Regional Task Force.
Hyatt: We located Bland in Hopewell, and he was arrested without incident and he's being held without bond at Riverside Regional Jail.
