Louisa woman sentenced to 43 years for murder
A Louisa County woman has been sent to prison for the murder of her husband.
62-year old Ulisa Chavers was sentenced to 43 years in the death of Clint Chavers, whose headless remains were found in a shallow grave in Amelia County.
The sentence will run concurrent with the 45 years she’s already doing for killing her boyfriend, Reginald Bowles. His body was found in a well in Louisa County in March of 2009. Chavers’ remains were found a month later. Louisa Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Rusty McGuire handled both cases.
Harrison: Ms. Chavers made a lot of contradictory statements and with one person able to work a lot of these statements, they were able to build a case that we may not have, had we operated on our own.

Ulisa Chavers had insisted that her husband died of natural causes in 1994 and she buried him in her backyard. She later removed his skull and dumped that in a landfill.
