Second annual Save Our Food Festival is this weekend
The second annual Save Our Food Holiday Festival will happen this weekend at the Farm Bureau Center at the Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.
The event provides an opportunity to buy Virginia-grown food, wine and hand-made gift items.
Langley: Seventy different Virginia vendors, both Virginia's finest and Virginia grown, everything from local beef, goat cheese, Chesapeake Bay seafood and fourteen Virginia wineries.
Farm Bureau’s Keith Langley.
Langley: One of my personal favorites I'm looking forward to is the Grand Marnier chocolate-covered pralines.
More than 3,000 people showed up last year. Langley expects that with the growing popularity of farm markets, this year could be even bigger. Farm Bureau members get in free and so does anyone who brings two non-perishable food items.
Langley: And that will go to the Salvation Army Central Command food pantry.
