Charlottesville Police seek warrant to search smart phone
Investigators in Charlottesville are looking for e-mails and text messages a University of Virginia lacrosse player sent to the woman he’s accused of killing.
Police want to search George Hugeley’s smart phone. They’re looking for correspondence that mentions Yeardley Love.
That request, according to the Daily Progress, was contained in an affidavit related to a search warrant. Hugeley is charged with first degree murder in the death of his 22-year old former girlfriend, who also played lacrosse at UVA.
Investigators have already searched computers belonging to both of them and found fragments of correspondence. Hugeley has a preliminary hearing in court January the 21st.
