Louisa jury recommends 30 years in home invasion
A jury in Louisa has recommend that Remone Houchens be sent to jail for thirty years for a brutal home invasion.
Houchens broke into the home of 87-year old Lois Rosson and beat her so badly she lost sight in one eye.
Houchens was found guilty of burglary, robbery and aggravated malicious wounding. Prosecutors say he stole a gun during the robbery.
Rosson had broken bones in her face and spent several days in the hospital. Houchens said he went into her home because he needed money and he also said he “fell through” the front door running from gang members.
The jury recommended 30 years. Formal sentencing is set for February 14th.
