Public Invited to Comment on High Speed Rail

Virginians For High Speed Rail and the Southeast High Speed Rail Association are holding a public hearing tonight at 7pm.

The meeting will take place in the cafeteria of the Virginia DMV building at 2300 West Broad.

Wallace:  There will be a public viewing beginning at 5pm and the hearing will begin at 7pm.

The City’s Michael Wallace said city leaders will be on hand for a discussion about the need for high-speed rail and details of stops at Richmond’s Main Street Station, Petersburg’s Passenger Rail Center and Union Station in Raleigh.

Wallace:    And the expense of high-speed rail connecting to Washington to Petersburg and Raleigh to Charlotte corridors.
