Red Cross Making Changes in Tri Cities

The Southside Area Chapter office in Petersburg is making a temporary move.

Harrison:  The American Red Cross is consolidating the Hopewell-Prince George chapter and the Southside area chapter.

Harrison:    There will be physical locations in both Hopewell and the Petersburg area.

The Southside Chapter, he added, has been looking for smaller office space and the move of personnel to Hopewell is only temporary. The Red Cross, Harrison says, is streamlining services.

Harrison:   With the growth of Fort Lee that we're realizing in the area, we're taking a real strong look at how the Red Cross can play a stronger presence in that community.

Rosalyn Andrews, the manager of the Southside Chapter, is taking over as the local Chapter Executive on the first of next month.
