Admission Free for Active Military

The Blue Star Museums Program is opening doors for active military and their families.

The program offers free admission to a variety of sites from Memorial Day to Labor Day and The Virginia Historical Society is taking part.

Guild: Joining six hundred museums across the United States, offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their families.

Guild: All the families have to do to get free admission to the museum is show their military ID.

Guild: We’re offering them free admission to our banner lectures and our gallery walks also and anybody that comes in and shows their military ID will also get a free copy of our Story of Virginia exhibition catalogue.

Colonial Williamsburg, the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk and the O. Winston Link Museum in Roanoke are also part of the Blue Star Museums Program. It is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts.
