Police Still Searching for Missing Woman One Year Later
Virginia State Police are still trying to solve the case of a missing woman in Halifax County…coming up on the one-year anniversary of her disappearance. And, as Charles Fishburne reports, it is part of their pledge.
Forty-eight-year-old Hattie Brown disappeared one year ago this coming Sunday, but she did leave a trail.

Geller: …that captured Hattie Brown, her nephew, and her vehicle there at the gas station, getting gas, that was the last time we have any record of anyone seeing her alive.
The nephew, Derrick Brown, has been questioned by police and remains a person of interest, but with no body, no weapon, there is no case.
Geller: For every case we have that goes unsolved, our investigators are very committed and very involved in their investigations. They’re the ones working the families, they’re the ones there at the autopsies, and our agents are very professionally committed to solving crime.
There are other famous cases, Alicia Showalter Reynolds fourteen years ago, and more recentl, Morgan Harrington. Both remain very active.
Geller: If there is a chance that we can solve a case, no matter how old it is or maybe how cold the leads have become, we will continue to pursue it.
