Northrop Grumman to Move Headquarters to Northern Virginia

Northrop Grumman Corporation announced late yesterday that it was moving its corporate headquarters to Northern Virginia. Charles Fishburne reports.

The Global Security Giant ended months of speculation by announcing it will relocate its company headquarters from Los Angeles to Northern Virginia, and bring with it 300 new jobs. The Fortune 100 Company, with 120 thousand employees worldwide, is already one of Virginia’s biggest employers, does 90% of its business with the United States government, and most of that with the defense department. Virginia was competing with both DC and Maryland, but was apparently won over by facility considerations, proximity to customers, and overall economics, according to President and CEO West Bush. Governor McDonnell said it was a major step forward in creating new jobs and getting Virginia’s economy back on track.
