What’s Bugging You A fond look at the animals we love to hate. Tune-in each Tuesday morning at 8:35 a.m. on WCVE Public Radio.
My wife get bitten in our yard by a bug that causes her to have hive at the spot of the bite. She only has this reaction in our yard and no one else has any reaction. We cannot see them and they have plagued us for several years. We are avid gardeners so this is a serious issue. She does not have any problems in the other people's yards and if see applies Off she does not get bitten. Her dermatologist has confirmed it is a bug bite she is reacting to. I would like to know what bug it is that is causing this so I can effective control the infestation.
I very much appreciate any help you can give us.
We have found several of these boxelder bugs in our home... what brings them ion and what will end their life?
Thanks for your note! Boxelder bugs enter homes in an effort to find a wam place to spend the winter. They don't bite and will not reproduce in your home. You can read more about them here: http://arthurevans.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/a-bounty-of-boxelder-bugs/
