Fisherman Found in York River

The body of one of two fisherman who’s boat capsized in the York River has been found.

James City Bruton Volunteer Fire Department’s divers found 64-year-old Al Madison on Saturday afternoon.  Late yesterday there was no report on the fate of his fishing partner, 78-year-old Arthur Brooks. The two men from Lightfoot were hauling gill nets when their boat capsized on Thursday morning.  That was near the Croaker Landing Boat Ramp. The water was choppy, the wind was high, and other fishermen called emergency dispatch after losing sight of them.
