Spiritual Fitness Concert at Ft. Lee
The Chaplain’s Office at Ft. Lee is presenting a full day of activities Thursday including it’s first Spiritual Fitness Concert.
The day will begin at 6:30 with the annual, national prayer breakfast.
Luck: The prayer breakfast is the way to kind of take time out of our busy schedules to place a priority on spiritual fitness and to ask for God’s blessing.
Chaplain Loney Luck explained that Congressman Randy Forbes will be the keynote speaker. He is the ranking member of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee. Next on the agenda is a clergy symposium.
Luck: It’s very, very important for us to work along side our community pastors and so we have a pastor’s symposium.
About 60 percent of permanent duty soldiers attend church off post. Thursday night: the Fort Lee Spiritual Fitness concert.
Luck: We have a multi-Grammy and Dove awards winner, David Phelps. David has sung with the Gaither Vocal Band.
The concert, which is open to the public, begins at 7 pm.
