Search Continues for Chester Woman
The search continues for a Chester woman who has been missing for a month now.
Forty-year-old Kelly Catalano, police say, left her job at Blue Print Automation off Roughing Mill Road about 10 a.m. January the 15th. A co-worker told the Progress Index she just took off with her machine running. A witness told investigators he saw her sprint towards the Appomattox River. Police conducted a careful search around the factory, on the ground, in the water, and in the air, and brought in cadaver dogs that turned up nothing. No sign of foul play or abduction. And, while it is still a missing person case officially, according to the Police Department’s Ann Reed, investigators are still considering that Catalano may have taken her own life.
Duck hunter Joseph DiStefano doesn’t know Catalano; but he encountered police searching the area right after she disappeared and he has been organizing searches around the river, on land that he knows well.
