More Virginians to File Taxes Online

This year, more Virginians than ever are expected to file their state income taxes electronically, and the Department of Taxation is doing all they can to encourage it.

If you do a refund, you’ll get it much faster.

Davison:  The big difference here is you can either wait days for your refund or you can wait weeks.  It’s gonna be days if you file electronically.

Joel Davison,  Department of Taxation, says online is faster to start with, and they are hiring fewer part-timers to process paper returns because of budget restraints.  For more information go to tax.virginia.gov.
