The trip starts royally. After watching the first season of Masterpiece’s new drama “Victoria”, you'll be able to imagine wandering the halls of Buckingham Palace, where the real Queen Victoria walked. That’s how this tour begins!
Assembly ’17 carries on a 25-year tradition at 88.9 WCVE, with daily radio feature reports discussing legislative issues during this year’s General Assembly. Assembly ’17 will air Monday-Friday during Morning Edition* and will be produced by our State Capitol Reporter Saraya Wintersmith.
88.9 WCVE News will also run shorter legislative news stories as part of our local newscasts during NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered*.
88.9 WCVE will be at the main stage of the Richmond Folk Festival with exclusive uninterrupted coverage starting Friday (10/7) at 6:30 p.m. and airing all day Saturday and Sunday. Blackmore’s Night is a British/American traditional folk rock duo formed in 1997, consisting of Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night. Legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, backed by a first-rate band, performs a show that includes renditions of "Gilded Cage," "Toast to Tomorrow," "Darkness," and "Dandelion Wine." As Ritchie Blackmore describes it, they began performing Renaissance music as a labor of love.
