Escape From Nazi Alcatraz

Aero engineers and carpenters attempt to replicate an ingenious escape plan from Oflag IV-C, a POW camp at Colditz Castle in Germany that held Allied officers during World War II, to see if it would have succeeded. The plan consisted of building a two-man glider from bed sheets and floorboards, and then launching the craft from the roof; the war's end negated the need to go through with it, however.
