Look. This a redo. Computer glitches happen. It's just the nature of the world we live in. So, this is par deux for this blog about the World Music Music Show (5/10). I wrote a spectular blog last week. Really, it captured everything. But alas, I didn't save it on a separete platform and when the glitch happened, the orginal blog for The World Music Show (5/10) left this Earth. Ah, live and learn.
But, in case you're reading this in hopes of gleaning what you may have heard that week, here's a tidbit of what I featured: Bebel Gilberto (picured), BossaCucaNova, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Monsieur Doumani and Uniao Black. Plus, two songs from Los Lobos-- and those were just some of the musicians we heard in hour one.
In hour two, we heard from Michael Franti and Spearhead, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley and some not-so-World-Music tunes from Beck and the Talking Heads, rounded out the show. It was a great show--I hope you heard it.
