The Rabbit Hole of Sound

I Say Yes! Yes to what? I say Yes for everyone to jump down this week’s Rabbit Hole of Sound on this week’s World Music Show (12/10). Because there is so much Yes to say Yes to! From new selections from Pink Martini (which also includes an interview with founder Thomas Lauderdale), to a salute to the record label Nacional, it’s going to be hard to say No! So if you’re ready to read all about it, then please continue down the World Music Rabbit Hole.

Interview: Talking Jazz Is PHSH with Drummer Adam Chase

Jazz Is PHSH is a tribute band that takes the music of Phish and re-imagines it in the form of horn-driven instrumentals.  In the words of drummer Adam Chase, “Jazz Is PHSH is where Sun Ra meets Herbie Hancock.  It's funky and experimental with a variety of styles that blend in a world of fusion.” Jazz Is PHSH will be at The Broadberry on December 18.

She explains how she put the album together, which contains music “that explores the essential American dream.”
