An Ode to France

On this week's World Music Show (11/28), we'll give a musical nod to France. From acoustic to Django-inspired tunes, to even some electronic and acrobatic gypsy pop music, I'll cover some very swinging music. Plus, on the outskirts of all that, we'll hear some local reggae music from the Mighty Joshua as well as some Bombay beats.

Hot Leftovers 2015!

We hope you will join us this Saturday night (11/28/15) at 11:00 p.m. on Time for the Blues as Henry and I bring our own unique spin to the Thanksgiving Holiday, the annual “Hot Leftovers” show. It’s a show that takes a year to put together and only an hour to enjoy, but it won’t mean much if you’re not there to enjoy it with us. Even our pic here is leftover from last year's show! (If you're going to do 'em right!)

Jimmy Burns, Dave Weld, Tommy Castro and Allen Toussaint Tribute!

We  hope you will join us this Saturday Night (11/21/15) as Time for the Blues howls at the late night moon and brings you some great blues for your listening pleasure. Henry and I have been cooking up a fun little show and we think you will enjoy it so much you’ll want to bring along your friends.

Here’s the most obvious statement you’ll encounter today: Henry and I make a lot of mistakes.

The Long & Short of It

I love themes. I love dissecting stories, plots, ideas and songs. Plus, I love twists. Twists in literature, and in song lyrics and in movies. However, only a few of these points are a part of this week's World Music Show (11/21). Namely, a theme. And the theme for this week's show is "The Long & Short of It." And the "it" is of course, World Music. And broken down even further, it means that we'll explore an hour of some very long World Music Beats paired with an hour of some very short but sweet World Music tracks.
